He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory

 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory : but he that seeketh His Glory that sent him , the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. John 7:18

How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another , and seek not the homour that cometh from God only ? John 5:44

For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. John 12:43

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing word's of man's wisdom , but in demonstration of the spirit and of power : That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men , but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

For our exhortation was not of deceit , nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the Gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness ; God is witness. Nor of men sought we glory , neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might be burdensome , as the Apostles of Christ. 1 Thessalonians 1:3-6

For do I now persuade men, or God ? or do I seek to please men ? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10
