we should recognize the importance of this and ask ourselves what is the purpose of relationships that we have , is it God's pleasure our pleasure or their pleasure ? it's of great spiritual importance to not have double minded relationships. a yoke unequal steers us wrong the yoke steers the oxen , if the company we keep isn't agreed in truth and the light of life the two are going different directions, picture two oxens one pulling left one pulling right and they're harnessed together though they're pulling different directions neither are really getting anywhere except back and forth wrestling against the flesh of the other oxen one pulling right starts to gain the steering in the direction it is going then the other gains control again going left these oxen keep in mind yoked together " like a harness" and thereby the steering determining the direction is controlled by the oxen that are yoked together but they're on different paths different directions different passions pursuits and desires and the result is a constant tug of war between the oxen 

The company we keep the influences we take heed to etc... if those are not in alignment it's no different then the unequally yoked oxen or a car that needs a front end alignment and because the cars alignment is off it either pulls hard right or hard left and leaves the tires worn in a specific way. 

The word of God instructs us much for our benefit for our learning and one instruction from the living active powerful eternal word of life and light is that we be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers . Come out from among them be ye separate.

The Lord is coming for a pure bride without spot wrinkle or blemish a undefiled bride . It is high time to awake out of sleep the night is far spent now that day is nigh at hand and Jesus says to us in His word be ready always for that hour no man knows and know that He is coming when we think not
