God's presence is a Gift and we should cherish that. in our lifetime we receive gifts many gifts and we cherish them but do we cherish the Greater Gift as we should ? we are called to be good stewards and our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit .

a person with a new car cherishes it, they take care of it keep it clean and keep the car tuned up to keep it running right, put gas in it when it is running on empty etc.. because they cherish and treasure it.

do we cherish and treasure the Temple of the Holy Spirit as much as we do temporal earthly things ? when we are running on empty when we are weak and our faith seems to be being swallowed up by lifes circumstances do we feed our faith ? if we have food to eat we make sure we don't go hungry , if we have heat we make sure we don't go cold . we check the weather before going outside if its hot we dress for it if its cold we dress for it . so we take care of things physically but what about spiritually ?

if we look at the circumstances and we see a battle do we spiritually dress for it or just get overwhelmed and say no way that looks too hard and isolate ourselves ? don't lose sight of your destination ! when we look and see it is cold and the weather is bad outside that doesn't stop us from moving forward with the day we dress for it and persevere through it and do what needs to get done. but too often we don't cherish and treasure our spiritual well being the same way that we do the physical .

if our faith gets distracted consumed and swallowed up then we end up walking by sight and sitting paralyzed from spiritually moving forward . it might be a battle to persevere and endure but it takes spiritual preparation just like it how it takes physical preparation to get ready to go out and move forward with the day. when a snow storm hits unexpectedly that doesn't stop most from getting out and going to work , why ? because they prepare for it !

Faith, prayer ,the Living word of God , patience , trust , praise, worship that is our spiritual preparation that determines us to keep standing to persevere and endure. we know the scripture Greater is He who is in us than he that is in the world and we are overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony but are we living it ? sometimes we have enough faith to believe those scriptures to be true in others lives and in the midst of someone else's circumstances but the true test of faith and belief is when it comes time for it to be true in our lives and our current circumstances .

I have been through things where it was so easy to encourage someone else and so easy to believe for them to persevere endure and overcome but yet in the midst of my own circumstances I couldn't encourage myself why? because sometimes we get too caught up in the circumstances . Peter walked on water while His focus faith and trust was in Jesus , peter didn't begin to sink until he looked at the storm

instructions before the instructions to put on the whole Armour of God.

Before Paul ever told the Ephesian believers to put on the whole Armor of God , Paul urged them to do certain things first.

Put away Lying - ( Eph 4:25)

Speak Truth with your neighbor ( Eph 4:25)

Be angry and sin not; don't let the sun go down on your wrath ( Eph 4:26)

Give no place to the devil ( Eph 4:27)

Let him who stole steal no more. ( Eph 4:28)

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth ( Eph 4:29)

Grieve not the Holy Spirit ( Eph 4:30)

Let all bitterness , wrath, anger , clamor, evil speaking, and malice be put away from you ( Eph 4:31)

A consecrated life is a prerequisite to real spiritual warfare . if these areas are left unattended , Unsurrendered , uncommitted then we have left gaping holes - loopholes through which Satan is able to exert his hellish schemes in our lives.

when we allow the loins of our minds to go unchecked ungirded our lack of commitment and the secret places of areas of our lives that haven't been totally surrendered will stop us dead in our tracks whenever we try to deal with the devils attacks .

when we choose to live a surrendered consecrated life Holy unto God we carefully guard our minds  and equip ourselves with the whole armor of God and the result of a surrendered consecrated life is we become effective in battle. the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but Mighty through God !

Know your enemy

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
(katapino) - devour literally means to swallow up completely

the enemy tries to wear us down, wear us out and then swallow us up
he is a master mind manipulator he disquises himself to be something that he really is not.

 and so Paul gave this warning --> 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.


The name devil is taken from the Greek word (diabolos) . it is a compound of the words dia and balos . Dia means through and carries the idea of penetration.

The word balos is taken from the word ballo, which means I throw, as in throwing a ball or a rock. when the two words are compounded, the new word depicts the act of repeatedly throwing a ball or rock against something until it penetrates that barrier and breaks through to the other side.

his mode of operation is found in the meaning of his name which means that he is one who continually strikes and strikes and strikes again beating against the walls of people's minds over and over again - until he breaks through and penetrates their thought process .


The enemy of both God and man is called Satan which is taken from the Hebrew word (shatana) and means to hate and to accuse  and also carries with it the idea of slander and false accusation.

now is not the time to let your guard down

Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time

now is not the time to let your guard down . everyday when we wake up we put new clothing on (CLEAN) as you do that don't put on the baggage or filth of yesterday . as you put new clothing on get dressed for war if you wear a hat let that be a reminder to put on the helmet of salvation . you may first have to be renewed in the spirit of your mind having your loins gird about with Truth . as you put on a jacket or coat put on the breastplate of righteousness . when you put your shoes on today let your feet be shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. God gave us a sound mind not a spirit of fear but of love and power. In Ephesians He said above all take your shield of faith wherewith you shall be able to quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked . the helmet of salvation protects and guards our minds and keeps us in a sound mind. notice next after helmet of salvation He says and the Sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.

if your faith is weak right now get in the word be renewed faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

we are instructed to be renewed in the Spirit of our mind . be renewed today having a sound mind .

2 Timothy 1:7 speaks of a sound mind , what is a sound mind ? 
The word for sound mind or sensible thinking is taken from the greek word (sophroneo) . it is compounded of the word (sodzo) which refers to intelligent thinking . put the two words together and the word means to have a saved mind or delivered mind .
in other words this describes a mind that has been set free and is thinking correctly.

when your mind is guarded by and with the helmet of salvation and renewed by the word of God you will walk in complete soundness of mind. 
Gods word instructs us in Ephesians 4:23 be renewed in the spirit of your mind. 
God has given us all that we need to withstand every assault of the great deceiver satan. but if our mind is not sound and our thoughts go un-renewed we leave ourselves open to fear and to attacks & defeat .
God wants us to walk in full knowledge of our salvation and know who we are in Christ and continue abiding in Him and His word arming ourselves with the whole armour of God . God has given us power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
God's word declares that no weapon formed against us shall prosper ! it is important that when weapons form against us that we look upon the situation having a sound mind fearing no evil though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death.

 

satan tries to feed the church this deception that you cannot be free from sin you're always going to struggle with certain sins.

with that deception satan tries to entice one to habitually practice sin and continue there in .

if you do not know who you are in Christ , it is important to learn who you are called to be in Christ

satan cannot steal kill and destroy your faith unless he first paralyzes your faith . how does satan try to paralyze our faith ? by first getting us distracted 2nd by causing us to feel overwhelmed by circumstances trials or storms and enticing temptations 3rd by attacking our thoughts feelings and emotions and by doing that he is setting one up for deception which then leads to strongholds being built and that leads one to a heavy spirit of fear worry shame and guilt so the person is so overwhelmed they begin to feel helpless and hopeless satan then tempts and entices the person to go astray into riotous living like the prodigal son by that point the individual has been broken down to believe the deception that it is too hard they can't quit can't change their faith has been stolen killed and destroyed to the extent that they feel like they are going to be stuck forever in sins devouring pits.

the humble heart that cries out in repentance will not be despised by God 
if you draw near to God He will draw near to you . if you are lost and have never known Christ and had a relationship with Him or if you have just lost your way becoming a prodigal Jesus seeks to save you that you may be reconciled to Him. He seeks to Redeem you and give you a new heart putting His Spirit in you . He wants you to trust in Him with all of your heart and lean not upon your own understanding and acknowledge Him in all of your ways He will direct your path as you hearken unto Him. Taste and see that the Lord is good blessed is he whose sins are forgiven .

Satan is good at dressing up the detours to appear as if you're taking the right path

Satan is good at dressing up the detours to appear as if you're taking the right path and making the right choices, satan is clever at hiding the consequence behind the detouring path frustration confusion loneliness fear regret failure shame guilt pain addiction etc.... satan dresses the detouring path to look hopeful to look like the solution to unhappiness and loneliness next thing ya know you're sitting at his table holding hands with him all in with the causes of spiritual death. the word of God warns be sober and vigilant because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion is out seeking whom he may devour. God said give no place to him resist the devil and he will flee from you . draw near to God and He will draw near to you He said cleanse your hands you sinners and purify your hearts you double minded . you cannot have on foot trying to walk with God and the other with the world you cannot serve two master either you will hate the one and love the other or else you will hold to the one and despise the other. psalms 119:9 says wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? ---> by taking heed thereto according to Your word. next verse says with my whole heart have I sought you : O let me not wander from Your commandments . Your word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against you. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so Jesus cam to give life and life abundantly but the thief came to steal kill and destroy .

important message

there are real struggles and then there is the deception that the enemy tries to feed God's people and some fall for it and believe it and then a stronghold is formed. the deception the enemy feeds people is it's too hard to let go too hard to escape it it's too hard to change and this is just a specific struggle right now so that person settles and the person in bondage goes about saying I am still waiting for the Lord to deliver me and set me free from this struggle time goes by weeks months maybe a year or two and that person who was fed the deception from the enemy wonders why they are still struggling then the enemy entices them to question God or blame God and the enemies mission is to get you to give up and turn away from God and because the enemy has baited that person this far that person instead of resisting the enemy begins submitting to the enemy and drawing near to him by entertaining the deceptive thoughts and when the enemy has a strong enough hold he moves with the kill shot to destroy and devour that person next they begin to run off to riotous living like the prodigal son but when the prodigal son sees all his living and the error of his ways he returns to his Father and all of Heaven rejoices more over the one sinner who repents than 99 just persons. another point I want to make is that today many christians jump the gun and wanna call this person out rebuke them and shun them not even once seeking the Lord for His guidance and His wisdom to be able to discern anything the majority turn to their head knowledge of scripture and start swinging the hammer without the spirit. speak the Truth in love always yes but realize this that we plant the seed we cannot force a rose to bloom in trying to do so we will tear the pedals of that rose . what makes a rose Bloom ? watering it and light does.that rose may be leaning to the side tilted looking crooked when it is dark but when the Light shines upon that rose it straightens stretching towards the light and begins to slowly bloom finally the rose is standing straight up and then it blooms each precious pedal opens making a beautiful flower. a patient slow process it is but that process has progress and the beginning stages of that process is invisible to the natural eye because the natural eye sees outward and not inward. the work of the Holy Spirit begins inward and we cant always outwardly see what is going on but as the process continues day by day we see the outward reflections & fruit of the inward work being done. look again at the story of the prodigal son outwardly you would of never been able to see or tell of the inward work that was being done that led him to come to himself saying I perish with hunger . sadly today many plant the seed and expect every spiritual result to manifest right then and there and when they don't see it they shut the door on that person and in doing so they shut the door of hope. but God sends another to water that seed that was first planted . key point is no man or woman among the titles of prophet preacher watchmen evangelist is the final authority .

the entirety of life in it's fullness without God is a complicated empty exhausting search for purpose reaping what has been sown then questioning why life is complicated and why there is no joy peace of mind & heart but instead endless worry fear and anxiety .the simple answer of why is one that many try to self justify well if this if that etc.. things would be different. no the simple answer of why is you reap what you have sown and when you daily reject God in your every pursuit choices decisions and actions living according to your own way on your own strength and own abilities then life will be overwhelmingly confusing and complicated.

a humble confession Lord I need you and I can't do it without you I can't make it on my own abilities strength or understanding my leaning upon such things has broken me with frustrating overwhelming endless pursuits of searching for meaning & purpose Here I am take my life into your hands and reform this wretched clay to humbly walk with you according YOUR will plan and purpose then Life will change . however I do not encourage you to recite word for word the confession I just wrote I only shared that to share what it took what I had to see acknowledge & whole heartedly realize before I witnessed evidence of God's transforming life changing power at work in my life. your prayer & confession needs to be genuine humble and a 100% authentic cry of desperation weeping before God you can't just recite a written prayer you gotta mean what you're saying ! may God's mercy and Grace by His Spirit lead you to be enlightened at the revelation of who He is and about the true condition of your heart. what you may be blind to about yourself is not Hidden from God's sight . May God's goodness lead you to repentance preparing you to walk a new path in wholeness and soundness of mind seeking first the Kingdom of God .

when your direction is unclear

when your direction is unclear of what your next step should be don't move be still and TRULY seek the Lord who knows Best . wait for clear instruction to come. when your at crossroads in the valley of decision your'e faced with choices chances and consequences . every direction your'e looking may seem appealing might seem right but there is only one right path to take ! therefore wait upon the Lord . be led by His Spirit not by feelings emotions or temporary circumstances ,the winds of your circumstances can push you off on a detour at the crossroads don't take the bait take the wait and wait upon the Lord and be still and know that He is God.

some genuine people with good intentions get caught up replacing Authentic devotion with religious routines gotta pray this way this time that time gotta read this many chapters at this time and that time gotta do more for God to love me keep me and help me etc..... thats religious routine without Authentic devotion & Genuine passion . don't get it confused sometimes we gotta fight to press in to pray and read . but when religious routines creep in zeal and passion are lost joy is gone because Authentic fellowship & communion with the Lord has become motions and religious routines rush rush hurry hurry the plans we make for the day say a quick prayer that your heart isn't in read a couple verses that don't capture your heart then check the list of things to do etc... rush rush hurry hurry . have you ever been there before ?? I have

some people gotta go in all the wrong directions before they wake up and see the right direction.

some people gotta go in all the wrong directions before they wake up and see the right direction. for some they gotta completely fall to rock bottom before they realize that the way they live and the plans they make will fail and come to nothing without God. you'll spend your time running in circles living life backwards instead of truly moving forward. sometimes confused people are to impatient to wait for clarity and they foolishly think they know best. they listen to many voices in the wind not willing to endure a storm or face the hardships and wait upon and trust in God.

Just because one says they Believe it doesn't mean they actually do. the evidence of authentic belief is backed up by actions , how you live your life.

and just because you say you believe and God is occasionally mentioned from your lip service doesn't mean that God is for you. His word Boldly and Righteously declares that the children of disobedience are children of wrath . God's wrath abides on them yet His mercy endures and remains available to the ones who truly come to Him and trust in Him alone . God wills that none perish but that all should come to repentance .

Obey God rather than man

have you made the decision to stand with the Lord God have you prepared your house ? if not get ready make yourself ready seek the Lord diligently !
The prophets of Israel were persecuted & killed by governing authorities because THEY REFUSED TO DISOBEY THEIR GOD
The 3 men of the faith were thrown into the fiery furnace because THEY REFUSED TO OBEY THE ANTI-GOD AUTHORITIES
DANIEL disobeyed the governing authorities when they contradicted his commitment to God. - HE OBEYED HIS GOD
We must obey God, not man!" Acts5:29 The Christian must only obey goverment when that authority does NOT contradict our God!
We see in the example of the apostles, & Daniel, & David, and others, THERE IS A TIME TO DISREGARD WORLDLY "AUTHORITIES"
They ordered the apostles not to speak in Jesus' Name.. but they never stopped proclaiming: "Jesus is the Christ!" Acts5
Peter did NOT obey the authorities in power. See Acts5:40-42 - Peter went out and disobeyed the authorities, obeying God.

Ye shall know them by their fruits

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

 

 

Jesus commanded us to love one another as He has loved us. when we love the way that we are commanded to love does not work ill to another.

things to think and reflect on -----> 1 Corinthians 13:4-13) 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

James 2:8-13) 8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: 9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

 

sanctification comes through Truth . sanctification and Holiness is not something a man can do or produce himself by his own abilities own strength or good works. sanctification comes through Truth and sanctification is a inward work done by the transforming life changing power of God. the Truth is written by the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.

 

deathbed salvation ?

Some argue that for a unbeliever who has spent their life in rebellion towards God cannot be saved on their deathbed. I disagree ! I believe that it is possible for someone to be saved on their deathbed in their very last moments of this temporal earthly life. why do I believe that ? keep reading to find out.

the scripture I was reading today that has inspired and compelled me to write in this post was the scripture about the thief who hung on the cross next to Jesus . that thief lived a life of sin and you can say that cross was his death bed . the thief confessed verbally that his punishment was just the thief verbally confessed Jesus as Lord when the thief turned to Jesus and said Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with Me in paradise.

I looked up paradise in the greek the meaning is a Eden a place of future happiness.

God has mercy on whom He wills and the Lord wills not that any should perish but that all would come to repentance . the above scripture is why I believe that a lost sinner can be saved on their deathbed. it is hard to imagine what one would be thinking about while laying on their deathbed. some would say foolishly say that their confession to the Lord was done out of fear of being Eternally punished. but yet it is impossible for man to to determine a persons motive especially in a deathbed situation. a person on their deathbed probably has many thoughts and reflects on a lot .on that deathbed they probably have their whole life time flashing before their eyes maybe the Lord gives them a vision showing them the depth of sin they lived out and as the spirit of the Lord moves on them they are compelled to call upon the Lord . we don't know what one is thinking nor can we rightfully say or determine what their motive is if they confess the Lord and have a change of mind & heart on their deathbed. we can't say their motive was fear of punishment when their motive could be legit conviction compelling them to repent.

take a look at those scriptures concerning the thief who hung next to Jesus . that thief his eyes were opened on that cross to see that his punishment was just and in a crowd full of doubt and mockers the thief openly confessed Jesus as Lord . it was like the thief had a revelation from God seeing his sin and His need that thief had a change of mind & heart. it was like that thief was born again right there as he hung on that cross next to Jesus.

These struggles are going to prepare you

These struggles are going to prepare you it's hard to see looking through the rearview trials may tempt you and dare you to run away at times it may even get hard to pray mind so consumed heart so heavily distracted that you can't even find the words to say dark days and dark nights may crowd in but ya gotta keep holding on until the sky turns clear blue just know and never forget that what you are currently going through is preparing you for whats to come in the future end times gone get rough right now you may think these trials are tearing you down but these trials are actually building you up to stand and walk in a childlike faith keep looking to the Lord and He will always provide the way of escape .

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

color is not the issue . the issue clearly is a heart issue

color is not the issue . the issue clearly is a heart issue the roots of the issue is deeper than mankind wants to look. the root cause of every heart issue is sin. and what we see going on is just the results of man neglecting and rejecting God . the issue is many don't have the love to turn the other cheek or follow Jesus' example. when He was reviled Jesus reviled not and He threatened not. the issues at hand are deep rooted farther back than one can see. man likes to feel powerful or be known as a legend a hero someone who stood for what they believed in and for many to love is weak to forgive makes one a coward and to give another a 2nd chance is to betray themselves. this world has a very twisted counterproductive view. blind leading the blind . stereo types racism etc.. fallen generations traditions continued lead to a fallen nation. a nation without God is a enemy of the cross and is there own worst enemy. the solution is simple repent and turn from your wicked ways then shall the land and the people be healed and made whole. the flesh of man wars against self and others. competition rages mistaken rights counterproductive protests . cities will be laid waste except people repent. man wants vengeance and what they consider to be justice. man wants judgement now. Christ came to seek and to save the lost. He is the way the truth and the life coming that we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly. but the enemy came to steal kill and to destroy
