Luke 9:23 And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Deny means - deny oneself, to disown, renounce self, disregard All personal interests and enjoyments.

cross means - to bear ones cross meaning to undergo suffering and trial, to expose oneself to reproach and death. ...

This is our invitation from Jesus Himself the words written in Red, Luke 9:23 says and He Said to them ALL. this is what following looks like.

Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake

Is given - means - To give or bestow a thing willingly

To believe - means - To have faith in , commit to trust, to entrust one's spiritual well being .

To suffer - means - to experience , undergo an experience, to experience a sensation or impression ( usually painful)

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution

To live - means - to live in a certain way, to pass one's life in a certain manner.

Luke 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple.

cross means - to bear ones cross meaning to undergo suffering and trial, to expose oneself to reproach and death.
