2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that ye receive not the Grace of God in vain.
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord
Hebrews 12:15 looking diligently lest any man fail of the Grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.
Psalms 34:14 Depart from evil, and do good;seek peace, and pursue it.
2 Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Under The Law to be considered an adulterer you had to sleep with someones wife.
Under Grace Jesus said if you look upon a woman to lust you have committed adultery with her in your heart. Grace seems to have a higher standard. why because Grace empowers us to do what Truth demands of us. under the Law you had to actually kill to be a murderer, Under Grace if you slander your a murderer. confused Grace is why '' Christians '' continue in sin . Grace covers yes . Grace covers when you confess repent and forsake sin. if you believe the power of Grace to cover why cant you believe in the power of Grace to deliver and empower you to overcome ? the problem I see is Christians are still seeking justification because a continuous sinful life style. Christians ought to be pursuing sanctification. without holiness none shall see the Lord. sanctification is a process that should have progress. many don't understand what under Grace means . many don't realize Grace empowers us by the Spirit of the Lord to obey to endure to persevere and overcome and carry a cross.
we are instructed to follow >> pursue Holiness >> sanctification
sanctification is a process and there should be progress >> growth
many today continue seeking Justification instead of sanctification. why ? because many continue in sin and seek to justify the lusts of the flesh their enjoyment in living a sinful lifestyle.
there should be evidence of Grace at work in our lives. Grace empowers us to walk as Christ walked.
2 Corinthians 5:15 and that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 CORINTHIANS 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
Romans 8:5-14) 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
1 John 2:3-6 ) 3 And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
4 He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. 6 He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.
1John 2:28-29) 28 And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. 29 If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him.
1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous
1 John 5:2-5) 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Ephesians 2:8-10) For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. 9 not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
James 2:17-26) 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
