when we listen we need to listen with His heart when we speak we need to speak as the oracles of God by unction and utterance of the Holy Spirit

last night I was talking with someone who has drifted so far from the Lord this person was telling a story of a friend who has been hurt who has been used and abused by men and how this friend is looking for love in the wrong places and one day she poured out her heart to a man about being in love with him and the man didn't feel the same and then the next day the girl met a man who paid attention to her and told her all the right things that her broken heart wanted to hear. this person I spoke with who was telling this story said their friend didn't know what she wanted and would fall for the first guy who would pay her attention because she was searching for love. while listening I could hear the hurt and pain and I knew this girl was telling a story that s could fully relate to . her pain has been hidden behind a mask of temporary happiness and pleasures . but I could hear by the sound of her voice she was grieved with pain hurt and distress .and she has built her own walls of protection trying to shelter her heart from being hurt again. in her voice I heard misery and torment and a restless wrestling fighting good and evil fighting turning to the One whom she once worshiped and walked so close with. I know the Lord is drawing her back but there is a fight like tug of war, you could hear her great need and how much she truly misses her first love ( The Lord Jesus) . I was silent as I listened and at the same time my heart was weeping crying to the Lord on her behalf. the fact that she told this story as if it was about her friend but really was about her told me that she is covered with shame and tormented by guilt. I was compelled to listen and let my words be few . the enemy has formed a web of lies in her mind that has caused her to feel like everyone is against her and I could tell that she wants to return to the Lord but the enemy has fought her trying to convince her that she blew it she drifted too far she is too much of a mess to come to God or God wouldn't want her.her double mindedness has left her unstable she has seen that the world and temporary pleasures never satisfy . my message to her was not one calling her out on her sins , she knows them well , the message she needed was simple that she can come back to God's love and that the devil is a liar because God does love her and the Lord is seeking her , seeking to save her and make her whole again and restore her back to Him and every step she takes toward the Lord , He is going to move drawing near to her. keep her in your prayers the Lord knows who she is. we as Christians know the importance of walking in the spirit but we don't always heed that importance , God knows all , He knows the details inward details and outward and when we walk in His spirit seeking Him for the words to speak He will give us what is needed to be heard. too often we as Christians sometimes move in the flesh and go right to the hammer of God and start swinging destructively causing damage to the wounded . we need to hear the Lords heart we need Him to break our hearts for what breaks His . and when we listen we need to listen with His heart when we speak we need to speak as the oracles of God by unction and utterance of the Holy Spirit
