By nature the Bible says we were all children of wrath.

By nature the condition of the mind is hostile toward God and is bent on destruction. we were all born with a rebellious mind and rebellious nature that was against God.
the natural mind is carnal
Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Prior to our salvation experience we were alienated and enemies in our mind by wicked works.
Colossians 1:23 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.
unbelievers walk in vanity of their mind having their understanding darkened.
Ephesians 4:17-18) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.
the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
