God sent His Son

Although we cannot pay for our sins, Jesus' shed blood is more than enough! Jesus truly did stand in the gap for us when He went to the cross. In the Old Testament (before Jesus came), they would sacrifice animals to cover their sins, but now that Jesus paid the price we no longer need to preform sacrifices. In the Old Testament, we could only cover our sins with the blood of animals, but the bloo...d of Jesus actually removes our sin... it erases it from our account all together!

Hebrews 10:4, "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins."

John 1:29, "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."

The blood of Christ actually takes sin away, so much so, that God Himself chose not to remember our failures!

Hebrews 10:17, "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."

The blood of Christ was shed for our sins, and through faith in the work which was done for us, we can be freely justified... that is, made right with God:

Romans 3:24-26, "Being justified (Greek word dikaioo) freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus."

Notice that the word justified in the above verse takes us back to the Greek word dikaioo, which means, "to render (that is, show or regard as) just or innocent." That means that you are made innocent... as if you've never sinned! That's how clean that you can be through faith in the work that Jesus did for us on the cross.

believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God, who came to earth (living in a human body), was crucified and died for your sins, and then rose again on the 3rd day.

John 3:16-17, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

Acts 16:30-31, "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ (affirm your belief verbally).
Romans 10:9, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

MARK 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

ACTS 17:30-31) 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.
31 Because He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom He hath ordained; whereof He hath given assurance unto all men, in that He hath raised Him from the dead.

ACTS 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

ACTS 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

ACTS 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

ACTS 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

ACTS 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

LUKE 9:23-25) 23 And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for My sake, the same shall save it. 25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

2 CORINTHIANS 5:15 And that He died for all that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves. but unto Him which died for them and rose again.

ROMANS 6:10-11) 10 For in that He died unto sin: but in that He lives, He lives unto God. 11 Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

TITUS 2:11-14) 11 For the Grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and Godly, in this present world
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the Glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ
14 Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

ROMANS 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

COLOSSIANS 3:1-2) 1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

LUKE 6:43-45) 43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
